Cardolite NC-326 is a resin with 80% solids in an aliphatic solvent used as a binder for friction products. Along with hexamine as a crosslinking agent, NC-326 provides a heat curable thermosetting system that offers all the desirable characteristics of impact strength, flexibility and thermal stability. Friction products made with CNSL have superior heat resistance compared to those made with drying oils (such as linseed oil), and do not give problems caused by bleeding oil. Basic Uses Cardolite NC-326 offers good viscosity processing for drum linings. This product is a blend of low and high molecular weight material that provides exceptional strength for formulations without asbestos.
